Andrew L. Fair

Andrew L. Fair has been practicing immigration law for over 30 years. He received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, Summa Cum Laude, in Oriental Studies, specializing in Chinese language, literature and culture. He received a JD from Temple University.
 
Mr. Fair is widely recognized for his success with applications based on the National Interest Waiver, Extraordinary Ability, and Outstanding Professors and Researchers categories. Mr. Fair has lectured on immigration options for research scientists and for college and university teachers. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor for the City University of New York, School of Professional Studies, where he teaches a course on immigration law. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish, and he has traveled to Taiwan and Hong Kong, and throughout mainland China. He enjoys books, theater, art museums, and yoga.

Mr. Fair lives in New Jersey with his wife, who is an artist and art teacher. He has two daughters, one a graduate of New York University’s film school, and one a graduate of Vassar College.

 

Maria LopotukhinMaria Lopotukhin

Maria Lopotukhin has been with the firm since 2001. She received a BA in Communications from Queens College and a JD from the New York University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced corporate and corporate tax law. She specializes in employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions. She has lectured on PERM labor certification process, and she is a moderator for the forum on Employment-Based Preference Petitions on the message center of the American Immigration Lawyers Association website.

Ms. Lopotukhin is fluent in Russian. She lives in New York City with her husband and two young sons. She enjoys diverse cultures and cuisines of New York.

 

 

Alice Yuan

Alice Yuan received a BA in Anthropology from Queens College and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is admitted to the bar of New York and New Jersey. Ms. Yuan had been a paralegal with our firm prior to attending law school and joining the firm as an attorney. She focuses on petitions for scientists, including National Interest Waiver based applications; Extraordinary Ability based petitions, and petitions in the category of Outstanding Professors and Researchers; petitions for artist and musicians in the Extraordinary Ability category; and O-1 and H-1B nonimmigrant visas. Ms. Yuan is fluent in Mandarin. Her hobbies include rock-climbing and salsa.

Scott Mathews
Law Clerk

Scott Mathews-Novelli joined our firm in 2011.  He earned his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mathews-Novelli received his BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley and was an international programs analyst with the US Department of Justice.  He is an enthusiast of independent film and music.

 

 

Helen Chan
Senior Paralegal

Helen Chan joined our firm in 2005. She works with Mr. Fair on National Interest Waiver based applications; Extraordinary Ability based petitions, and petitions in the category of Outstanding Professors and Researchers for scientists. Ms. Chan is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

 

David Leyzerovsky
Legal Assistant

David Leyzerovsky joined our firm in 2008. Mr. Leyzerovsky is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he completed a BA in History, with honors. Mr. Leyzerovsky’s focus was the history of Eastern Europe, and he is fluent in Russian. Mr. Leyzerovsky is a fan of the New York Knicks.

 

 

  

 

 

Jesse Nettleton
Legal Assistant

Jesse Nettleton joined our firm in 2010. Mr. Nettleton graduated from Oberlin College, where he completed a BA in History, with a focus on South and East Asia. He is an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
